Air fryers are amazing kitchen gadgets that more and more households are using, with many choosing them over ovens.

Able to cook a variety of recipes like curry, fried eggs and even an entire roast dinner, it’s no wonder they’re so popular.

However, the one downside to them is probably the cleaning process as scrubbing them can be tiresome.

Usually, my go-to air fryer cleaning method is to soak the baskets in soapy water for at least 30 minutes. Afterwards, I tackle any residue (and there’s always residue) by scrubbing it with a sponge.

To tackle the cleaning task faster and with much more ease, Elbow Grease has released a “powerful degreaser” that makes cleaning your air fryer “a breeze” to give households “sparkling results”.

Keen to see if this product lives up to its description, I decided to put it to the test on my air fryer which was in desperate need of a clean.

Having not cleaned my air fryer for several days after cooking bacon and chicken, I didn’t have great expectations of the product.

I started by unplugging my air fryer and placing the basket in the sink before giving it a couple of sprays of the degreaser.

As the basket was heavily stained I left it to sit with the product on for five minutes first.
