Mould on walls is often caused by condensation, which happens when moist air cools and comes into contact with cold surfaces like walls. Condensation is particularly common during winter. This is because windows are closed and heating is on.

A method to remove mould from the wall has been revealed by a TikTok user, @toni_interior1, who often posts about interiors and lifestyle on the social media platform.

“How to get rid of mould on walls,” she wrote in her TikTok video.

“Spray the mould with white vinegar! Don’t use bleach! Leave it to sit for one hour.

“Always wear rubber gloves. Wipe clean. Spray again to ensure you’ve killed the mould… and leave overnight.”
